Grief and Loss

Grief around the loss of a loved one can be devastating. It can interfere with many areas of life when left untreated. Depression, anxiety, sadness, isolation, anger, and many other emotions can be at a heightened state during this time.

Whether it be the passing of a parent, child, spouse, or  friend, grief can be difficult to overcome. Sadness, disbelief, shock or even depression, are all normal responses to loss. When those feelings do not lessen within a reasonable amount of time and interfere with life in dramatic ways, grief needs to be treated.

The memory of a loved one is a beautiful thing. The negative emotions attached to that memory can be problematic.

To have beautiful memories about your loved one without extreme sadness, anger, or anxiety, is what’s of value.
